Barragunda Goldrush has a light responsive feel. Has been started on cattle and is showing plenty of promise. He is a great travelling horse with lots of potential to go on with. Goldrush is offered for sale as we are retaining his full sister ( Golden Girl), who is older and has recently commenced competing successfully in campdrafts. He carries strong campdraft breeding on both sides of his pedigree, with Open Campdrafters through the sire line and right through the dam line. We are particularly proud that Goldrush represents the 4th generation of the Barragunda breeding program, a line known for producing horses that are easy to train, possess natural cattle sense, and have genuine ability. By 'Barragunda Goldman', an Open and Challenge Champion, and out of a proven dam line featuring Open winners including 'Barragunda Acres Two Step', with grand dam 'Smokin Poppies', a successful Novice horse. From the dam 'Barragunda Relic', whose major achievements include being a Warwick Gold Cup Finalist, as well as winning two Open Campdrafts in the same weekend. Goldrush is a quality young horse with the breeding, type and foundation to progress through the campdraft grades and be an excellent Nutrien Classic Incentive prospect.
