Zarina is a very soft quiet and honest mare who started her drafting career as a nine year old through no fault of her own. In 2015 she won highest lady rider in the Maiden at Toogoolawah and a fourth in the Novice at Brymaroo. In 2016 her first full season of drafting she placed in a Maiden and three Novice drafts.She placed equal third at Burrandowan . She ran third in the Maiden and won the Novice at Kumbia and the Shane Cullen trophy saddle. This was followed by a seventh place in the Pittsworth Novice. She finalled two full rounds in each of her first three Restricted Open competitions including Toogoolawah in 2017.

She was 6th placed ACA Novice horse in the South East zone in 2016.

Zarina is an easy mare to controll is very light and can be ridden by a lady or juvenile. She is a safe mare on her feet, does not shy and does her lead transitions on cue will do haunch turns and has a good stop.She could be started in challenge or working stock horse classes.

Zarina's granddam Shield dot Christa (Nabinabah Shogun) was injured and only went to two drafts where she ran a fourth in a two round open.

Zarina has a double cross of ELLIOTTS CK CADET through her dam Lara and her great granddam ANDRA who was Maiden, Novice and Open C&N Burnett zone champion SEQCPA. Andra won seven Open drafts a Ladies a Novice many cutouts and placed equal second in the 1981 Canning Downs draft. Zarina's sire Hazelwood Showman a Novice camphorse by Semipalatingst TB and is from the legendary campmare HAZELWOOD ROMANCE.   Semipalatinsk is known as a mare in the TB'S he left quiet trainable horses off the track used for various equestrian deciplines.His pedigree traces back to Star Kingdom.

Zarina is a half sister to Rocky Rush Gold Buckle campdraft winner Royalle Sargent. She is also a full sister to Shield Marina who has had two starts in drafts and is quiet and going well. Zarina is a half sister to Shield Calypso by Royalle Heartacre Lot 50 in this sale. Also an unnamed stylish chesnut filly and palomino colt by Seligman Spin. Another sibling Shield Starlight by Cattleray a quality colt sold for $11,000 but now deceased .

Five generations of Zarina's dam line have been drafted by Ladies. Her dam Shield Lara by ELLIOTTS CK CADET a novice mare was drafted successfully by a thirteen year old girl and won places in maiden novice drafts. Lara qualified for ASHS maiden series at Narrabri.

Zarina has an impeccable pedigree with Warrenbri Romeo, Elliotts Ck Cadet, Nabinabah the Gun and Eastern Echo all of these stallions sired mutiple Warwick Gold Cup winners. She will make an excellent future broodmare. Being sold due to owners health.
