WITHDRAWN FROM SALE 25/1/23
WE FELT THAT THIS LOVELY FILLY HAD THE AMOUNT OF WORK SHE SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED COMPROMISED FROM BEING INJURED AT THE BREAKER. SO WE HAVE DECIDED TO WITHDRAW HER FROM THE SALE. SHE WILL BE NOMINATED IN THE NUTRIEN SUPREME SALE INSTEAD, OR IS AVAILABLE FOR PRIVATE PURCHASE PRIOR TO THE CATALOGUE OF THAT SALE GOING TO PRINT.
Kind quiet natured filly. Broken in october, but got injured from a paddock mate's kick during that process, and didn't get the work she should have. We elected to continue the breaking in but on a gentle note. Photos are taken at about 14 or so rides. She was kind, obliging, soft, but not going as well as she could have been. She was then spelled to get over her injury, which she did, and she is now ready to go back into full work. Other photos were taken as a yearling. This filly will mature into a BIG filly. She's every bit of 14.3Hh now, and is not 2yo until February. This filly will mature out at 15.1Hh plus, and will be a big stretchy Campdraft type. Beautiful family line that always produces the goods.
We love her dam, she's a burnt buckskin about 14.3Hh and quite solid. She travels well, has a big stop, is very good on a cow, and could have easily Challenged and Drafted well. She too got injured as a 2yo with a broken jaw and a bad foot injury whilst away being trained on. We spelled her and got Suzanne, put her back into work in 2022 but then decided we had too many 2-4yos to ride and are happy to keep Su as a broodmare now. We still draft Su's full sister Suzanna, and she is a great competitor. We are pretty excited that we bred Su to the beautiful Metallic Cat stallion in Granite in Dec 2022, and got twin embryos, that have both held.
