This colt, the first ever progeny out of a Miracle Mile winning broodmare to be sold at a sale, will be offered at the 2023 Nutrien Equine Sydney Sale.

He was born and raised at renowned breeding farm Manx Park.

The ownership group of Baby Bling felt it opportune for the highest bidder to have their chance to purchase and race a platinum level horse.

The athletic colt that will be on offer is by Sweet Lou and was pedigree matched (linebred) for racetrack success.

For information with respect to linebreeding click here.

As an example of the power of linebreeding, there were 18 Pacers in the Australian Top 20 earners for the 2022 season.. 14 of the 18 (77%) are linebred in the 3rd and/or 4th generation of their pedigree -  click here for the list.

Furthermore, 12 of the 18 Pacers (67%) have an 8 Generation Coefficient of Inbreeding higher than 5%.

For information with respect to the Coefficient of Inbreeding - click here.

This colt is linebred 4 x 4 to sires Artsplace & Jate Lobell and 4 x 4 to dam Delinquent Account.and has an 8 Generation Coefficient of Inbreeding of 5.54%, hence he ticks the racetrack success probability boxes.

He will continue to be nurtured by renowned equine yearling sellers Manx Park and will be prepared for the sale by Alana Toulmin, whose yearlings have looked spectacular at the Sales since she has taken on a preparers role.

The dam of the Colt, Baby Bling was an outstanding racehorse, winning three Group 1 events:

  • Miracle Mile
  • Nepean Conveyors Mares Classic
  • Australian Oaks

She also won the Group 2 Robin Dundee Stakes and the Group 3 Gold Coast Oaks, Teeny Teeny Stakes and Goulburn Cup.

In winning the Miracle Mile she broke the Australasian Mares Record over the distance of 1 Mile, clocking 1:50.5.

She won the 2013 Australian 4YO & Older Pacing Mare of the Year and the NSW 4YO & Older Pacing Mare of the Year Titles.

Baby Bling won over $850,000 in prizemoney.

Her dam Alldatglittersisgold has been a three-time Australian Broodmare of the Year.

The best of her progeny is the recently retired entire Bling It On.

His record speaks for itself:

With the 4 x 4 cross to Artsplace and Delinquent Account, it is no surprise to the ownership group that Sweet Lou has had success as a sire over Western Terror broodmares, the best being:

To date Baby Bling has had four foals of racing age. The first, Kayes Memory, a filly named after her late owner Kaye Kilgour, won at her first race start as a 2yo and has been retired to stud.

Her second foal was born with abnormal hocks and was unable to race.

Her third foal is a 4yo mare called Bella Bling who to date has won 6 of her 12 starts and has shown blistering gate speed.

Her fourth foal is a 3yo Gelding, he has qualified to race, but has been sent to the paddock to mature.

Her fifth foal is a full brother to this offering. He was to be offered at last years sales, however he was withdrawn due to a paddock injury, he was  broken in by renowned educator Dwayne Sarina and the reports are promising.

The ownership group were always looking to maintain Baby Bling’s early progeny, though now beleive that the time is right to provide buyers with the best opportunity to purchase a perfectly bred Colt, that they can lead out of the Inglis Riverside Stables Complex at Warwick Farm and place straight into the back of their trainer’s float.
