Performance Comments
Rare opportunity to invest in a Dartbrook mare that will perform at the highest level in any discipline for any rider. Four generations straight on the Dam’s side with proven Polocrosse performance. She’s the whole package.
Scarlett was entered for ASH National Show which unfortunately was cancelled. This mare is ready to go, having performed very well in chukkas of polo and started in polocrosse. Imagine her in the showring, School horse sports, Pony Club, Polocrosse, Polo or Drafting or all of the above!
Scarlett’s dam Rosebrook Calamity was successful in the showring and played polocrosse, won a maiden draft on her first outing, as well as multiple ribbons for a young girl at gymkhanas.
Scarlett’s granddam Rosebrook Sapphire was entered in a Ladies draft just for fun – going on to win the draft and the cut-out. She was a magnificent Polocrosse mare winning many accolades at Club level and going onto represent at Zone and for NSW. In the 1980s she played in the Australia vs Zimbabwe Test Match in Qld – Suzanne Sergeant (Zimbawe) winning a horse prize on her.
Scarlett’s great granddam Opal played for NSW as well. Opal was by the great sire Sage King.
Her sire, Haydon Orbital is a full brother Haydon Apollo, who is owned by the McGrath family from Warwick Polocrosse Club and has won multiple awards and represented Qld on many occasions.
